About Us

Empowering Healing Through Holistic Support Since 2017

Meet our CEO and Founder Tisa Hardin-Partridge. She founded the Pink Lotus Project Nebraska in 2017 after her own journey as a breast cancer survivor. The organization is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting African-American women diagnosed with breast cancer in the Omaha and Lincoln metropolitan areas. What began as a grassroots initiative has evolved into a vital community resource offering culturally relevant, holistic care.

Our mission is to Provide Healing that goes beyond medicine—supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our clients. We offer programs that emphasize plant-based nutrition, mindfulness, physical activity, and spiritual guidance, including the power of prayer. Our approach is centered on education, sisterhood, and empowerment.

In 2024, Pink Lotus Project Nebraska received a significant boost—an $80,000 grant from THE BLK FUND, managed by I Be Black Girl. This funding affirms the value of our work and allows us to expand our programs and deepen our impact across the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas.

Our Mission

To empower African-American women in the Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska metro areas who are affected by breast cancer through culturally relevant, holistic support. We focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit by providing education, wellness resources, and community connection—so that no woman has to face breast cancer alone.

We are dedicated to reducing health disparities by offering culturally informed support that strengthens resilience and promotes early detection and wellness. Through community partnerships, education, and survivor-led initiatives, we work to remove barriers to care and ensure every woman receives the resources she needs. Our mission is to uplift, empower, and provide a compassionate pathway to healing for African-American women facing breast cancer.

SURVIVOR Spotlight

Annette’s Story

My cancer journey began three years ago. It started with a moment that changed everything. I remember hearing the words that no one ever expects to hear: “You have breast cancer.” In that moment my world seemed to pause. Fear, uncertainty, and so many questions filled my mind. I didn’t know what the road ahead would look like, but deep inside I knew one thing—I was going to fight.

The journey was not easy. There were doctor appointments, long days of waiting, and moments when I felt overwhelmed by it all. But with every step forward, I found strength I didn’t know I had. Three surgeries later, I finally heard the words I had been hoping and praying for—I was cancer free. Each surgery was a battle, but each one brought me closer to healing and a new chapter in my life.

Through it all, my family, friends, and faith helped carry me when I felt weak. Their love reminded me that I was not alone in this fight. Cancer tested me in ways I never imagined, but it also showed me the depth of my courage and resilience.

Now that I am cancer free, my journey has taken on a new purpose. I want to be part of a movement that gives back and empowers women who may be facing the same fears and challenges I once did. Pink Lotus has done that for me. It showed me the power of support, sisterhood, and community.

Today I stand not only as a survivor, but as a woman with a mission. My journey is proof that strength can rise even in the darkest moments.
